ArtVerse presents a duo exhibition of Tommy Hollenstein, who paints using his wheelchair, and Foodmasku, a digital artist who creates face masks from food. This exhibition explores harmony, equality, and creative freedom, embodying the Olympic spirit through art.

Tommy Hollenstein is an American abstract impressionist painter and found object sculptor. A lifelong quadriplegic, Hollenstein has become a highly respected disabled artist who utilizes the tires of his wheelchair instead of traditional painting methods to create his works.
Foodmasku is a multimedia artist based in New York City. Previously known for his photographic series of his gunshot wound scars, foodmasku began making meals into masks when Covid-19 lockdowns began in April of 2020.
The New York Times selected his Instagram account as "one of five art accounts to follow" in September of 2020. A sustainable artist who always eats his masks and composts his waste, foodmasku represents “Zero Hunger” - one of the 17 goals the UN has set by 2030 for a more sustainable future - for the UN Food Systems Summit and the UN Sustainable Development Goals Summit.

​This exhibition features two artists who explore themes of equality, determination, and the Olympic spirit. Hollenstein creates paintings using his wheelchair, challenging conventional views of what a disabled artist can accomplish. Foodmasku crafts masks from food, transforming everyday materials into art and exploring trauma and mental health with whimsy and play.
