du savoir-rêve  - aurèce vettier

April 7th – May 13th, 2026

Curated by art critic Dominique Moulon

ArtVerse Gallery is pleased to present "Du savoir-rêve," a solo exhibition by French artist aurèce vettier. Curated by art critic Dominique Moulon, the exhibition unveils a collection of new works, conceived specifically for the Paris space. On this occasion, we invite you to discover the introductory text written by Dominique Moulon:

"When landscapes appear in the work of aurèce vettier, they present themselves as spaces held at a distance, their atmospheres retaining a peculiar density and opacity. The image is organized around partially undecided zones, restrained depths, and incomplete visibility. This aesthetic corresponds to the way memories reconfigure themselves during dream activity, somewhere between fragmentary precision and active gaps.

It engages the notion of savoir-rêve (dream-knowledge): a knowledge formed through contact with unstable images, accepting the unfinished as a condition of perception.

The technologies and techniques mobilized by the artist are integral to this construction. aurèce vettier trains generative AI models using images linked to childhood, embracing the fact that the algorithm introduces new continuities where the archive remains discontinuous. The process produces a plurality of propositions, followed by a phase of selection, refinement, and stabilization that leads to the final work. The artist often chooses to include his prompts, at times intentionally minimal, within the titles. This visibility of textual instructions situates the linguistic element of the protocol and clarifies its intent."
