SHAVONNE WONG
(Bangkok, 3D Digital Imaging & Virtual Modeling) Originally trained as a fashion photographer, Shavonne Wong transitioned into 3D modeling during the COVID-19 pandemic, teaching herself digital tools to expand the language of portraiture. Her hyperreal virtual figures— entirely crafted in 3D environments—evoke both intimacy and eeriness, rendered with the lighting and compositional rigor of traditional photography.
She has collaborated with Vogue Singapore, Bang & Olufsen, and Lancôme, and has exhibited her works at the ArtScience Museum (Singapore), the Venice Biennale 2022 as part of a collateral NFT showcase, and Digital Art Fair Xperience in Hong Kong. She is active on platforms like SuperRare and Foundation, where her digital avatars explore beauty, identity, and the virtual self.
At Paris Photo 2025, Wong questions the future of portraiture when the subject is no longer captured but constructed. Her luminous virtual characters, born entirely of code and imagination, challenge the boundary between photographic realism and digital simulation—redefining photography as a medium of synthetic presence and sculpted emotion.
