REUBEN WU
(US/UK, Environment-Based Photography and Visual Art) Reuben Wu is a visual artist and photographer known for transforming remote landscapes through the sculptural use of light. Trained in industrial design and originally a founding member of the electronic band Ladytron, Wu brings a multidisciplinary sensibility to his visual practice, merging precision with a cinematic sense of scale. His works reside in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Guggenheim Museum. A National Geographic photographer, his Stonehenge cover story received the Pictures of the Year International Award for Online Storytelling.
Wu’s single-edition artworks have been exhibited and sold through Sotheby’s, with 1/1 sales exceeding $100,000, and his pieces are minted on leading digital platforms including SuperRare, Nifty Gateway, and Foundation. His collectors include private patrons and institutions across North America, Europe, and Asia. Through a synthesis of art, technology, and performance, Wu expands the language of landscape photography into something both physical and speculative. His images function as luminous structures: brief interventions in time that reveal new architectures of perception within the natural world.
