NICEAUNTIES
(Singapore, Digital Art & AI) Singaporean artist Niceaunties is the creator of The Auntieverse, an evolving AI- generated world that reimagines the everyday “auntie” as a visible and positive force of human nature. Her practice spans moving image, installation, sculpture, and digital experimentation, blending humour and tenderness with reflections on cultural identity, ageing, and care. Working at the intersection of technology and storytelling, Niceaunties explores how collective memory and personal history can be reframed through artificial intelligence. Her work has been presented internationally across both digital and physical contexts.
In 2024, she delivered a TED Talk on using artificial intelligence to create The Auntieverse, sharing insights into how technology can serve as a tool for cultural storytelling. In 2025, her work features in the AI Action Summit in Paris and in a commission for L’Oréal Headquarters, where she presents a physical sculpture reflecting on new ideals of beauty and longevity. The Auntieverse functions as a speculative archive of empathy, humour, and resilience, a living mythology where everyday matriarchs are recast as complex protagonists in a future shaped by memory, technology, and care.
