CAMILLA ALBERTI

b. 1994, Milan. Lives and works in Milan, Italy.

Her artistic practice investigates matter as a site of transformation, relation, and transmission, exploring how interactions between living matter, environments, and organisms can reveal complex systems of coexistence and knowledge production. Working primarily through sculpture and textile practices, she creates hybrid bodies emerging from encounters between organic and inorganic materials, biological systems, artisanal techniques, and situated forms of knowledge.

Her research develops through collaborations with researchers and scientists, focusing on connective and interactive plant systems, parasitic relationships between insects and fungi, and symbiotic processes within lichens.

Her work has recently been exhibited at Casa del Lago and Italian Cultural Institute, Mexico City (2026); the 18th Quadriennale d’Arte, Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome (2025-2026); Triennale Milano (2025); Kunsthaus Graz (2025); the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), South Korea (2024); the Central Pavilion of the Malta Biennale (2024); and the Italian Pavilion of the 14th Gwangju Biennale (2023).

She has received awards including the Environmental Art Award, presented by the Government of Styria and Kunsthaus Graz (2025). Her works are included in public and private collections such as: Triennale Milano; Hyundai MOKA Museum, Seoul; Museo Novecento, Florence; the Farnesina Collection, Rome; and Museo della Permanente, Milan.
