ALEXIS OLIN
(born in Kyiv, Ukraine)
Alexis Olin is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, digital art, photography, illustration, and textile design. His work blends structure and spontaneity, shaped by a long-standing interest in visual systems and emotional patterns. He began in the early 2000s as editor-in-chief of K9, a cult Ukrainian comics magazine influenced by Franco-Belgian graphic novels. This foundation gave rise to a visual language built on rhythm, repetition, and symbolic forms.

In 2016, Olin launched Métrique, a fashion label turning his art into wearable pieces. His current practice combines analog and digital techniques, using acrylic, oil pastel, spray paint, and digital tools to explore memory, habit, and emotion. His work features recurring symbols (hands, eyes, blades, geometric forms) and has been shown in galleries across Europe, the US, and Asia. For Olin, the essence of creativity lies not in inspiration, but in the daily act of making.
